The PTAB Bar Association has launched and is now accepting new members. The PTAB Bar Association (www.ptabbar.org) is an organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the professional and ethical standards among those who appear before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. The organization seeks to connect fellow bar members, the Board itself, and corporate and government stakeholders to heighten the standards of practice at the Board.
The first major event of the PTAB Bar Association is scheduled for March 1-2 at the Ritz Carlton in Washington, DC, where a number of practitioners and members of the PTAB bench will present on PTAB topics of interest including relevant Federal Circuit and Supreme Court decisions, perspectives from industry, current trends, and ethics ‘rules of the road.’  Members who join by October 16th will receive a 15% discount on enrollment fees for the annual conference.
Membership fees range from $25 for students, $100 for in-house attorneys, to $250 for private practice attorneys practicing for more than seven years.
